Build Your R90 SleepKit
1. Choose Your Mattress
To get started choose either the Ecto, Meso or Endo Dual Layer Mattress. The R90 Mattress comes with a Mattress Protector and copy of Sleep by Nick Littlehales.
2. Add a Comforter
If you are looking to create a softer, but supportive environment you can add our R90 Clusterfibre Comforter
3. Choose Your Duvet and Pillows
Choose from either the R90 All Seasons Microfibre Duvet or Breathe Duvet. Then decide on your pillow from our 5 options. Please let us know if you need some advice on which is right for you.
4. Add a Linen Pack
Add a Microvent Linen pack to your set up. The R90 SleepKit can be added to or upgraded over the years to maintain your sleep set up. A Travel version is also available.
I approached Nick to help me prepare for Race Across America, a 3080 mile, 12 day ultra-cycle race. Nick focused me in on the importance of getting to the start line physically and mentally refreshed, taking a holistic approach not just to sleep but to the whole concept of recovery. I learnt to value recovery time as vital to both training progress and health, taking both nighttime sleep and naps seriously. This approach and the sleep hygiene strategies we implemented helped me balance a gruelling training strategy with a demanding veterinary job. We profiled my crew to find out who would fit better into day and night shifts and over the course of 3 years of big races worked on the best approaches for me to manage jet lag, sleep restriction and the delicate balance of mileage and recovery. Nick changed my whole attitude to sleep and recovery. His passion for his subject and his desire to learn and to share his knowledge make him a pleasure to work with and I hope I have the opportunity to do so in the future.
